About Motivation Craft Lab

Studying motivation as a learnable skill

The team brings motivational techniques and learning design together. To get access to the right starting point, continue to the contact page and describe your registration or service question.

What the platform actually does

  1. Motivation Craft Lab was built around a specific observation: most people who want to improve their motivation struggle not because they lack willpower, but because they have no structured way to examine and adjust their own habits. The platform provides that structure through interactive quizzes, short assignments, and immediate feedback.
  2. The content draws on established research in behavioural psychology and self-regulation theory. Participants work through scenarios that mirror real situations - deadlines they avoid, goals they keep postponing, patterns they cannot quite name - and receive responses calibrated to their specific answers rather than generic advice.
  3. Founded in 2018, the platform has grown steadily by keeping the learning format simple: short sessions, clear questions, and honest feedback. There are no guarantees of transformation, but participants who engage consistently report a clearer understanding of what gets in their way.

The people who build the content

Portrait of Orla Fennelly

Orla Fennelly

Lead Curriculum Designer

Orla has spent the better part of a decade building assessment frameworks for adult learners. At Motivation Craft Lab she oversees how quiz sequences are structured so that each question follows logically from the last, rather than feeling like a random checklist. Her background is in instructional design, and she is direct about what the research actually supports versus what sounds appealing in theory.

Beatrix Vanhout

Behavioural Learning Specialist

Beatrix focuses on the feedback layer - the part of the platform that responds to participant answers. She draws on self-determination theory and implementation intention research to write responses that are specific rather than encouraging in a vague way. Her view is that feedback should name the actual pattern, not soften it.
